Margie Sweezer-Fischerp

She has been with the company for nearly 25 years with a legacy for advancing our engineering, operations, technology and innovation across Power Delivery and Power Generation. Margie began her career as a protection and control engineer for FPL and began leading teams in 2008 as a distribution quality and analytics manager. Margie earned her bachelor’s degree graduating summa cum laude in electrical engineering from Tuskegee University, and a Master of Business Administration from Florida Atlantic University. She is a graduate of the Harvard Business School, a patented inventor and a certified six sigma blackbelt. In 2020, Margie was honored with the Lew Hay Award for Outstanding Leadership from NextEra Energy, and in 2021, the Legacy of Service Award from the African American Professional Employee Group at NextEra Energy.
